AMERICAN BIRDS

"Love is the hope of contentment

and the reality of the dreamer"

(Lopez-Espina, 2010)

My fascination for birds started way back in the eighties when I visited the Galapagos Islands. I went there super exited to try my brand new 300mm lens, regrettably; it was too small for photographing most birds. The frustration of not been able to capture  what I was seeing was overwhelming. Fortunately, the crushing disappointment subsided quickly after meeting a real attractive young lady on my cruise ship. As we all know, long distance romances are rather difficult to preserve. To appease the heartache and to help forget that beautiful face, I did what depressed people tend to do; went out shopping. I purchased my first 600mm lens, the standard length for bird photography.
