LANDSCAPES - PORTFOLIO THREE

"Isn't ironic that what we love most

usually curtails our freedom"

(Lopez-Espina, 2011)

We all navigate through our spheres searching for the essence to enrich our existence. For many it’s something fairly simple, for others it's far more complex, and the rest don’t even know what it is. I was fortunate early in life to find that elusive fulfillment, although it is an assortment of various pieces. Managing different desires is never easy, but they contribute to spice the artistic journey.

I was born a workaholic. All demands become optimistic challenges. As expected, failures do come and go. Some are major, but I learn from them and adjust the path. Taking a relaxing vacation is a foreign thing to me. Heck, I live in front of a gorgeous beach and never spent a second under an umbrella sipping a margarita, but again, I don't drink. I always unwind by going somewhere to photograph nature. Yes,  I’ve become a servant of my own passions, a rather insignificant sacrifice to please my calling.
