THE PREY

"Life is vastly less significant than living"

(Lopez-Espina, 2012)

It would be difficult for humans to prevail if under the same circumstances as animals of prey. Just imagine becoming an instant target as soon as you are born. Animals of prey spend every second of their lives on alert. For them, chilling out under a bushy tree is more like hiding in a bunker with a periscope. A good number opt to live in groups to better their survival chances, while others maintain a solitary existence by dwelling deep in the forest. Regardless of method chosen, they must ultimately drink and eat. Such essential necessities typically forces them into the open environment where vulnerability reigns.

All animals of prey are not the same. Equally true, even predators could be attacked if wandering alone, injured or sick. This selected group of images only includes those beautiful innocent creatures normally identified as prey.
